Fighting 15s: Turning little men into soldiers

Fighting 15s is a mail-order wargames figure supplier run by Ian Marsh (Oozlum Games is the publishing arm of the business; Huzzah! Miniatures is the casting side). Ian is a former editor of White Dwarf, having worked on the roleplaying magazine from 1984 to 1986.

Fighting 15s attends several shows each year on the UK wargames shows circuit. We run stands at shows along with Mike Lewis of Black Hat Miniatures.

We aim to adopt an environmentally friendly approach to our business where possible. Our wind and solar electricity generating system keeps the office computer, peripherals and lights running most of the time throughout the year. We use environmentally friendly packing materials where possible, and will shortly be switching to biodegradable bubblewrap (we previously used biodegradable packing beads, but these are not suited to slimline packaging). Fighting 15s reuses or recycles packing materials provided in deliveries from other companies.

Fighting 15s uses two modes of transport to get to the post office: foot or bicycle. Hostile weather may therefore prevent trips to the post office to dispatch orders. We rely on trains or a shared lift with Black Hat Miniatures to get to shows.
